MYinsanity’s StarDust is your 2013 DreamHack Open Summer Champion. the not-so well-known Protoss player had an ‘insane’ tear through this 128-Player Open Tournament, defeating players like NaniWa, Snute, viOLetHyuN, SjoW and of course Jaedong in the Finals.

StarDust’s series vs Jaedong seesawed back and forth and was exciting to watch. both players were so hellbent on defeating his opponent that two of the five games came down to a Base Trade Scenario.

DreamHack is one of those crazy marathon tournaments that (i feel) require an entirely different mindset going in. it’s one of the only large scale tournaments that anyone sign up for, play in and perhaps win the entire shebang, definitely embracing the fact that it’s Open. i like that.

but what i LOVE is despite just losing, Jaedong, the Tyrant, stood up on that stage and helped StarDust take a champagne shower. such good manner…if he’s not careful, he’ll lose his reputation. ^^ -J.A
